KAWS’ “Final Days” Exhibition at CAC Malaga in Spain

Despite how long Brian Donnelly widely known as KAWS has been supplying the world with such great art pieces, it comes as a surprise that this time around the “Final Days” Exhibition at CAC Malaga is Brian Donnelly’s first solo museum show outside of the United States. The “Final Days” Exhibition takes place in Spain where his Kaws pieces that are showcased consist of the Companion, Kurf and Pinocchio sculptures. The six black figures are all exhibited in one large room, in various sizes and positions. You can expect the “Final Days” Exhibition to run in Malaga, Spain until June 22.

KAWS Exhibition @ Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts

Recently KAWS was responsible for reinventing the Moon Man for this year’s Video Music Awards held in Brooklyn and has not stopped continuing to master his craft. His most recent phenomenal creations reside in Pennsylvania at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts for the time being. This exhibition features 70 pieces of KAWS’ amazing pieces both new and original career making pieces. KAWS’s exhibit will continue to fill the academy’s halls through January 5, 2014 while his BORN TO BEND piece will maintain in its spot at the building’s front facade through August of next year.

MTV VMA Moonman Reinvented By KAWS

With astronomical hip-hop/entrepreneur mogul Jay-Z putting Brooklyn on his back, they have endured many deserved blessings. And with one of the biggest entertainment outlets in MTV deciding to be the first outside a sporting event to choose Brooklyn as a home for the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards is astonishing.

On top of all of that MTV also decided that what would be more creatively ingenious to have non-other than KAWS himself Brian Donnelly to re-design the MTV Moonman trophy. It is also said that KAWS will be head of the stage set-up, which is said to feature a 60 foot inflatable Moonman, the largest to date. By the way it’s only right that Brian Donnelly better known as KAWS is originally from Brooklyn, therefore that brings it on home with the connection of this year’s MTV 2013 Video Music Awards which will kick-off August 25th.
