Preview of Kanye West x A.P.C. 2014 Fall/Winter Collection

For the second go round of the A.P.C. and Kanye West collaboration, Touitou and Mr. West wanted to put together a military-inspired offering. Touitou sat down to discuss the second round process of working with Kanye West with Style.com, where he said, “Surprisingly easier the second time, except at the end.” The perfectionist in Kanye West wanted to work on the collection up until the very last-minute, which is a process adopted by the Chicago designer when working on music. Touitou also went on to share that both looked through military archives to grab inspiration and that the process was very hand on for the both of them.

Despite the great responses from consumers this will be the last time that these two creatives collaborate being that Kanye West’s Adidas deal will conflict and the fact that Touitou says he is tired of collaborating. The rugged, but luxurious 2014 Fall/Winter collection between French brand A.P.C. and Kanye West will release at retailers and online on July 17th. Mark your calendar folks because this will be the last time you see these two entities work together. Oh, need I mention the fact that this collection will leave shelves quickly? Share in the comments below what you thought about the first capsule collection leading into the second.

A Glimpse of the Pigalle x Nike Air Raid Collaboration

It seems natural for Pigalle to be linking up with Nike because of their basketball infatuation and recent collaborations leading up till this point, which helped the Paris brand extend well over into the U.S. despite their co-sign from A$AP Rocky during his uprising. Recently Pigalle and Nike produced a few t-shirts and a couple of pairs of Air Force 1s, but this time around the collaboration leads them into re-breaking into the classic Nike Air Raid sneaker. Pigalle Paris is known for their simplistic creative ways; therefore it was expected of them to bring that minimal outlook onto this collaboration as well. The sneaker comes in two completely tonal versions. White and bordeaux with both featuring a subtle Pigalle branding on the strap and the heel tab. There is no word on a release date as of yet so stay tuned to Niche for more information regarding the Pigalle and Nike Air Raid collection.

Adidas continues to push the envelope while racking in another unorthodox collection with Belgian fashion designer, Raf Simons. Since acquiring the edgy Kanye West to their roster, Adidas has been non stop pushing their creatives at the same time finding a proactive way to connecting legendary pieces from previous collections with the new generation while exceeding expectations and boundaries. Although most may not agree with the physical makeups of this collection, despite the legendary Stan Smith signature shoe, the quality level that Adidas continues to release deserves an applaud.

This collaboration between the two powerhouses in Adidas and Raf Simons consists of a reinvented Stan Smith signature shoe with a few moderations and a few new modern pieces with the “Response Trail” and “Bounce” models. The German multinational corporation and fashion house designer Raf Simons also made a few nicks and touches to a few of their slippers with an array of color-ways. The 2015 Spring/Summer Adidas by Raf Simons collection will be available mid February at Adidas’ retailers across the world ranging from $195 to $1,120 USD.
