Bauhaus Master-houses by Walter Gropius
German architect Walter Gropius, the founder of Bauhaus Art School in Dessau designed two original buildings that have now been restored and revamped by German practice. The new project that took place actually caused a little bit of controversy over the memorial site, which reopened May 16, 2014. The aesthetic reconstruction of the outer shells in the interests of tourism; and the conservation of the structures as historic records of destruction. In order to protect the significance behind the structure the decision was made to reconstruct and update the design. The structure consists of stacked compositions of concrete, influenced by their previous structural shape.

Appreciation of Great Architecture in the Workplace
Lately I have been looking through a lot of architectural websites and have been admiring the works and designs that these huge corporations rightfully have. So as we wind down the 2013 years, which has been pretty amazing for a lot of folks and companies including NICHE1080 (thanks to you all) I thought I should share some of the top workplaces based on architecture and design.

Kidult Presents “No Gallery, No Master”
Kidult is known for his controversial graffiti art you may have seen across your favorite designer store such as Céline, Hermès, and Chanel just to name a few. The controversial graffiti artist serves as a threat to many high-end designers across the lands like those named as he is determined to break the mental slavery of purchasing a Céline bag or Chanel dress like people are marketed to believe they need it when they do not. Kidult releases his latest treatment in “No Gallery, No Master” where the visuals showcase his point of view on this so-called democracy we live in and further explains how he looks to sell and distribute his work to finance his global actions.
I will paint like a kid and tell truths like a kid without concessions because nowadays the media are only here to dictate people what they must think. -KIDULT
Daft Funk Editorial for Fucking Young Mag
For those of you who may not know who these two guys are, well I feel for you, but look at this as an introduction then. Daft Punk is a French electronic music duo consisting of two musicians who have worked with a lot of great American talent such as Pharrell Williams and Kanye West. They are both involved in production and behind the mic. This time they are receiving praise for their fashion sense and super unorthodox creativity with helmets that you would normally see them wearing. Above is actually a rare shot of the two without their helmets on, don’t get use to it.
Photographer and art director Luca Finotti captured Daft Punk for Fucking Young Magazine’s editorial, which is due to release their Fall/Winter 2013 issue. The editorial is entitled “Daft Funk” and is focusing on the fashion and taste makers of the Daft Punk music duo, which is pretty funky as you see in the images. These two artist’s wardrobe for this shoot consists of various designers such as Givenchy, Kris Van Assche, Jil Sander, Moschino, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, and even customized Nolan helmets. After their recent success with Pharrell and their “Get Lucky” track and Daft Punk’s VMA performance, Daft Punk has been receiving more love than ever before in the states. Therefore this collaboration could not have come at a better time. Enjoy the creative images and take some time out to give these guys a listen. More images below if you continue reading.
